TUARAN: A car garage fire in Kampung Lok Batik early Thursday morning destroyed six cars and two motorcycles.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 4.46am and arrived at the scene 10 minutes later.
The fire involved a non-permanent garage structure measuring about 20 by 30 feet, which was completely razed.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 5.15am using one hose line with two nozzles, drawing water from fire engines and a water tanker.
A total of 10 personnel from the Tuaran Fire and Rescue Station were involved in the operation.
No injuries or casualties were reported.
