Tuaran: Missing out on online classes due to poor Internet access and having to travel 15km to school every day did not stop Jessy Ailysia Stephen of being one of the top 12 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) scorers for SMK Tun Stephens in Kiulu.
She came second with 7As 1B, behind Liverria Richard Loimun’s 9As 1B.
Jessy, the seventh of eight siblings from Kg Talungan, Telipok, harbour dreams of becoming a teacher and repaying her rubber tapper parents for their hard work in raising them.
