KUALA LUMPUR - The technical team of the TuJu Highway Navigation Application is currently carrying out recovery and improvement work, targeted to be completed by November 6 at the latest.
In a statement, developer Prosignal Consortium Sdn. Bhd said updates on the restoration work would be shared through its official channels, while other features in the app remained available as usual.
TuJu also apologised to users who have experienced disruptions to its navigation function over the past few days.
"We take the difficulties experienced seriously and appreciate the feedback and criticism from users regarding our service.
"Our priority is to ensure that the navigation function operates stably and smoothly again, and meets the travel needs of users.
"Our technical team is carrying out restoration and improvement works, which are targeted for completion by Nov 6 at the latest,’’ the statement said.
The statement also said TuJu is grateful for the patience and support of the users, while every report and feedback helps them identify issues and implement the necessary improvements.
"We will continue to strive to meet user expectations so that TuJu becomes one of the best navigation applications prioritising the safety of Malaysian citizens' data," the statement read.
TuJu was developed by Prosignal Consortium through a memorandum of understanding signed with the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) on May 26, 2022.
Last Wednesday, the government decided to prohibit all civil servants from using the navigation application Waze, in order to safeguard government information and users' personal data against the threat of misuse by the Israeli regime.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was reported to have encouraged the public to use TuJu as an alternative for road navigation. - October 24, 2026
