
KOTA KINABALU: The final respects for the late former Head of State, Tun Ahmadshah Abdullah, were held in a solemn ceremony at the State Mosque on Wednesday.
The funeral prayer was led by State Mufti Datuk Bungsu @ Aziz Jaafar after the Zohor prayers before his remains were laid to rest at the Kampung Inanam Laut Muslim Cemetery.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor was present to pay his last respects and extended condolences to the late Tun’s family.

As a mark of respect, the State Government declared an official one-day mourning period with the state flag flown at half-mast.
