Former Malaysian Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, has vehemently denied allegations of criminal activities and has taken a proactive stance against those accusing him. In a recent statement released on his social media account, Dr. Mahathir addressed several accusations leveled against him, including allegations made by Anwar Ibrahim and issues surrounding investigations by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Dr. Mahathir stated that despite being declared non-criminal by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), a notice received by his son, Mirzan, from the MACC claimed otherwise. The notice cited an offense under Section 23 of a specific act, allegedly committed by Dr. Mahathir. However, he asserted that he has never been investigated for such offenses and challenged the MACC to produce evidence.

Moreover, Dr. Mahathir addressed accusations made by Anwar Ibrahim, who alleged that Dr. Mahathir possesses billions of Ringgit. Dr. Mahathir refuted this claim, stating that he himself is unaware of owning such wealth. In response, he has filed a lawsuit against Anwar Ibrahim, demanding evidence to support the allegations. Despite filing the lawsuit over a year ago, Anwar has yet to provide any evidence, according to Dr. Mahathir.

Dr. Mahathir also questioned the credibility of statutory declarations made by individuals like Dato Murad, particularly why these declarations have not been retracted despite Anwar not being found guilty. He questioned whether Anwar's family members are being directed to disclose their assets.

Furthermore, Dr. Mahathir raised concerns about the Azam Baki case, highlighting disparities in the investigation process compared to his son's case.

In conclusion, Dr. Mahathir reiterated his innocence, emphasizing that he has not been found guilty of any wrongdoing. He urged the MACC to present evidence if they have any and called for transparency and fairness in the handling of legal matters.

The former Prime Minister's statement has sparked discussions across the nation, with many eagerly awaiting responses from the MACC and other relevant authorities regarding the allegations raised by Dr. Mahathir.
