MalaysiaNow reported that Anwar Ibrahim repeats his dare for Tun Mahathir to declare all his assets and those belonging to his family.

This attracted the attention of many netizens one of whom commented that PMX is supposed to hold boxes of evidence against the former PM but now is asking Tun Mahathir to furnish those evidence himself.

The netizen says the way Anwar is spinning the story, with "his twist and turn" it would likely "jam" Mak Chik "goreng pisang" herself.

Obviously this anonymous netizen is equally confused by PMX whom he addressed by the latter's popular pseudo Arabic nick name from his ABIM days, "Pak Sheikh".

Any Pak Sheikh known for his devotion to Islam and his religious creed, would walk the straight and narrow leading an honest and morally acceptable way of life would hardly be associated with the shrewd worldly being like an ordinary businessman.

What he meant is Anwar's twists and turns will even outdo the Mak Chik goreng pisang whose job is to stir the banana fritters back and forth all day long yet she is not as twisted.

However, the one who is not at all confused by Pak Sheikh is Tun Mahathir himself. He said, “Apparently, he (PMX) has many boxes of documents supposedly filled with information pertaining to my wealth.

“Anwar can show the evidence he has on my fortunes at the court. Thus, my declaration of riches shall be known to the world. I don’t need to declare anymore. But Anwar still needs to declare his.” - Focus Malaysia

Tun Mahathir remarked on his Facebook page on May 8 that it is Anwar Ibrahim who ought to declare the wealth that he accumulated during his tenure as deputy PM between 1993 and 1998. Once Anwar has done that, "then use your own money to help (deserving) people instead of relying on government’s money". Tun Mahathir wrote sarcastically on his Facebook page.

Obviously, this was a sarcastic reply from the former PM to Anwar's call a day earlier for Tun Mahathir and Tun Daim to return half of the billions that they allegedly took during their days in office. It would be to everyone's advantage to know how much did Anwar really gained while in office as DPM between 1993 and 1998.

If Anwar was indeed a man who is clean and would like to be known the world over as being intolerant of corruption and cronyism he should declare not only his assets and that of his party but his family's as well.

Bare all as he did dare Tun Mahathir and Tun Daim to do and let us the rakyat decide who's the squeaky clean of them all.
