KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Governor Tun Musa Aman has called for a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir, according to a statement from Istana Seri Kinabalu on Monday.
The Palace said the investigation must be carried out with diligence, without fear or favour, and guided solely by the pursuit of truth and justice.
It stressed that seeking justice is not an act of vengeance but a fulfilment of the duty to protect the vulnerable and hold wrongdoers accountable.

The Head of State and his wife extended their condolences to Zara’s grieving family, expressing hope they find strength and solace during this difficult time.
A state-level tahlil and prayer session will be held on Thursday at the City Mosque and all mosques and suraus across Sabah, with non-Muslims encouraged to offer prayers in their respective way.
The Palace reminded that the safety and well-being of children must remain a top priority and prayed for Zara to be granted a place in paradise.
