
Kota Kinabalu: Twenty independent candidates are contesting in the 15th General Election (GE15) in Sabah.
Out of the 20 candidates, 18 were men and two women.
The most numbers were in Sandakan with three candidates, two each in Tuaran Papar, Beaufort, Tenom and Tawau, and one each in Kudat, Kota Marudu, Kota Kinabalu, Penampang, Libaran, Batu Sapi and Kalabakan.
The most symbols used were a tree (6), key (5), pen (2), book (2), elephant (1), horse (1), aeroplane (1), telephone (1) and tractor (1).
The candidates are Hu Chang Lik @ Hii Chang Lik, Lokeman Hazli Azali and Lita Tan Abdullah - all in Sandakan, Noortaip Suhaili and Bobby Lewat in Tuaran, Johnny Sitamin and Datuk Chin Chian Siong @ Norbert Chin in Papar, Matlani Sabli and John @ Christopher O.T. Ghani in Beaufort, Riduan Rubin and Peggy Chaw Zhi Ting in Tenom, Chin Chee Syn and Mohd Salleh Bacho in Tawau, Dato Verdon Bahanda (Kudat), Norman Tulang (Kota Marudu), Marcel Jude Joseph (Kota Kinabalu), Richard Jimmy (Penampang), Amdan @ Saban Tumpong (Libaran), Othman Ahmad (Batu Sapi) and Muhammad Dhiauddi N.Hassan (Kalabakan).
