Two boys die after falling into monsoon drain in Kulim, two others in hospital

Two 12-year-old boys died after allegedly falling into a monsoon drain in Kulim, while two others were rushed to hospital for treatment

KULIM: Two 12-year-old boys died, while two other boys, aged 11 and eight, were rushed to hospital after they were believed to have fallen into a monsoon drain in Taman Desa Kayangan, Sungai Karangan, near here, today.

Kulim police chief Supt Syamsul Sinring said they received information about the incident at 7.30 pm.

“Our personnel arrived at the scene and found that two of the boys had been taken to hospital, while the other two had died at the scene,” he said in a statement tonight, adding that investigations were ongoing.
