- South Yorkshire Police reported that a black Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck struck four pedestrians before colliding with an oncoming Audi and BMW.
- Two of the pedestrians were pronounced dead at the scene, while four others were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
- A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving while unfit.
- The suspect has been bailed pending further inquiries as police appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage of the incident.
