Two disabled students claim sexual assault in dormitory

TWO disabled students (OKU) claimed to have been victims of sexual assault in two separate incidents at a dormitory in Marang last month.

The dormitory warden filed a report regarding the two cases at the Marang District Police Headquarters (IPD) on Sunday.

Marang District Police Chief, Superintendent Sofian Redzuan said the first case involved a 17-year-old disabled student with learning disabilities who was the victim of a 16-year-old suspect at 2 pm, September 17.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 14(a) and Section 14(d) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

“The second case involves a 13-year-old victim of Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) who claimed to have been molested by a 16-year-old suspect at 6pm, November 20.

The case is being investigated under Section 14(b) and Section 14(d) of the same act,” he said. – December 9, 2025
