Two Everton investors hold the key to the club's sale to 777 Partners.

Andy Bell and George Downing have put 80m into Everton to help fund the club's new stadium project.

The Sun says 777 are hoping Bell and Downing join them rather than have to pay back any money.

A deal with majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has been in place for several weeks.

But a deal is yet to be settled due to the need to settle with minor investors like Bell and Downing.
