Kota Kinabalu: Two Filipinos were charged with having bombed fish.

Mawali Jirin, 44, and Jimboy Mawalik, 29, were brought before Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan.

However, no plea was taken from them pending the availability of a Bajau Suluk interpreter.

Mawali and Jimboy are accused of having eight fish caught using explosives at 9.45am on July 11 inside a boat at the Serusop waters in Tuaran.

The court set Aug 10 for mention and ordered both Filipinos to be remanded further pending the date.

Prosecuting Officer William Apin from the Fishery Department appeared for the prosecution.
