
SANDAKAN: Police here arrested two men on suspicion of threatening an individual by splashing red paint and locking the latter’s house gate in order to get him to pay money owed in Taman Bahagia.
The duo, aged 19 and 35, were caught in Taman Sejati on May 30, according to Acting Sandakan Police Chief Supt Mohd Hamizi Halim.
The older suspect is found to have five previous drug and crime convictions.
Their arrest followed the filing of a police report by the individual whose house gate had been locked and splattered with red paint on May 16.

“The online money lender is suspected to have hired the duo to get the job done and is suspected to have been in operation since the end of last year, concentrating in
Sandakan and Lahad Datu,” he said in a statement, here, recently.
Police believe they have solved five cases with the arrest of the duo.
On that note, Mohd Hamizi cautioned the public not to be tempted by loan schemes other than banks and to carefully read the agreement before taking out a loan from an unlicensed moneylender.
He also reminded the public against downloading unverified software arbitrarily.
“As a security precaution, always change your internet banking passwords, e-wallet accounts, and social media accounts,” he added.
