A Manikaran police team, acting on a tip-off, raided Purple House hotel at Kasol in Kullu district and arrested two persons for possessing various types of narcotics. The accused have been identified as the hotel’s lessee, Virender Singh, alias Viren (27), from Kangra district and Vivek Sharma (26) from Bilaspur district. Their interrogation reportedly led to the recovery of 31.97 grams of methamphetamine (meth), 0.42 grams of MDMA, 0.25 grams of LSD paper strips and 12.23 grams of charas.

A case has been registered at the Manikaran police station under Sections 20, 22 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Kullu SP Madan Lal Kaushal said that the police were conducting a thorough investigation and interrogating the accused to identify the source of the contraband, dismantle the supply chain and expose the broader network involved in trafficking.
