SEMPORNA: A morning fire destroyed two wooden houses at Kampung Air, here, on Monday.
The State Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call following the incident at 8.16am.
A team of firefighters from Semporna Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Semporna) rushed to the scene and assisted by the BBP Air Semporna.
Upon arrival, the commander of the operation reported that two houses measuring 10X10 square feet were destroyed in fire.
The team put out the fire using a 200 feet stream with three sprouts and managed to put the fire under control at 8.38am.
No casualty reported in the incident. Police, Civil Defense Force and Rela personnel were also on scene.
The operation ended at 9.23am after the team made sure there was no other danger at the scene.
