Two hurt in Kota Kinabalu Axia collision

KOTA KINABALU: Two people were injured after two Proton Axia cars collided in front of the Fook Loi Proton showroom here at about 10.10pm on Friday.

The crash is believed to have occurred when a green Proton Axia travelling from the BYD direction made a U-turn towards the Chinese cemetery. Another Axia, travelling from the JTT direction towards Kolombong, then collided with the vehicle.

Three people were in the green Axia — two men and a woman. The driver was 20, while the passengers were aged 18 and 19.

The two passengers, a man and a woman, were injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.

The second Axia, which was dark in colour, was driven by an 18-year-old man. Two other 18-year-old men were travelling with him.

The impact damaged the side of the green Axia, while the other vehicle sustained damage to its front bonnet.
