KOTA KINABALU: Two men were injured after a stilt house collapsed at Kampung Tanjung Aru Lama near Masjid Al-Kauthar this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department said the emergency call was received at 8.47am, and a team of 10 firefighters from the Kota Kinabalu Fire Station arrived six minutes later.
The rear concrete section of the 25x40-foot wooden house gave way, causing two men, both aged 44, to sustain injuries.
One victim suffered spinal injuries and breathing difficulties, while the other sustained minor head and leg wounds.
Both victims were given initial treatment by the EMRS team before being sent to hospital for further care.
