Kota Kinabalu: Two people were killed, two seriously injured and one slightly injured when the car they were travelling in skidded and crashed near CityTop, Batu 51/2, Inanam, Wednesday.
It is understood that all seven, including the Avanza driver, were heading towards Manggatal from the City Mall direction when the incident happened at 4.50am.
The driver was said to have lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a culvert. Razkhan, one of the deceased.
The driver and another passenger fled the scene, leaving the injured passengers behind.
The deceased have been identified as Razkhan Martin, 17, with learning disabilities, and Almeradz Said, 23.
The impact caused one passenger to be thrown out of the vehicle.
It took firefighters from Lintas about 30 minutes to assist another victim who was trapped in the wreckage.
City police’s Insp. Farhana and SM Wasly were at the scene to investigate.
