  • Charing Cross and Waterloo East stations in London will be closed for 22 days this summer.
  • The closures will take place between 26 July and 16 August to allow for essential maintenance works.
  • Engineers will replace 1,800m of “life-expired” track, make drainage improvements at Waterloo East, and carry out structural repairs to Hungerford Bridge.
  • Southeastern services that normally run into Charing Cross will be diverted to London Victoria, London Cannon Street, London Blackfriars, and London Bridge.
  • Passengers are advised to expect longer journeys, but tickets will be accepted on alternative rail routes, the London Underground, and London buses.
