Two men arrived for basement concrete job — prosecutors say only one left

  • William T. Morrison, 62, has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action for allegedly killing his business partner, Johnathon Brown, in Kansas City, Missouri.
  • Brown was reported missing on May 13, three days after he was last seen traveling to Morrison's property to perform concrete work in the basement.
  • Police discovered Brown's body, which had a gunshot wound to the head, buried beneath a freshly poured concrete slab after cadaver dogs detected the odor of human remains.
  • An employee told detectives that Morrison gave her two cellphones and instructed her to dispose of them following Brown's disappearance.
  • Morrison is currently being held without bond ahead of a court appearance scheduled for next week.
