
KINABATANGAN: A 55-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old male passenger were reported safe after an Isuzu Dmax single cab carrying a load of fish overturned after hitting an electric pole in Seri Impian, here, on Sunday.
Sabah Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre received a call on the incident at 4.23 pm and immediately sent six firemen from the Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station to the location, about 4km away from the station.
The victim got out of the vehicle by himself before the fire department arrived.
The firemen opened the battery head and inspected to ensure there were no other hazards.
The operation ended at 5.38 pm.
Members of the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) were also at the scene.
