TWO men have died following a multi-vehicle collision involving five vehicles at the 25.3-kilometre mark of the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Expressway heading towards Senai in the early hours of the morning.
The crash, which occurred at around 5.40am, claimed the lives of a 37-year-old Indian national and a 34-year-old man of Iban ethnicity, both of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Iskandar Puteri district police chief M. Kumarasan, the incident began when a car carrying the two victims reportedly lost control before crashing into the central road divider.
“As a result of the impact, both victims were thrown out of the vehicle onto the right lane of the highway before being run over by a motorcyclist coming from behind,” he said.
He added that the motorcyclist was unable to brake in time and struck the victims on the roadway.
“The motorcyclist did not have time to brake and hit the victims. The car driver died at the scene,” he said.
Police said the car passenger was also ejected from the vehicle during the crash and fell beneath a bridge, where he was confirmed dead at the location.
All bodies were sent to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for post-mortem examinations.
Authorities are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless or dangerous driving causing death.

Police have also urged witnesses or members of the public with information about the incident to come forward to assist investigations.
“Members of the public or witnesses with information are requested to contact the Iskandar Puteri Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division at 07-5101322 to assist investigations,” he said.
The fatal crash adds to growing concerns over road safety on major expressways linking Johor and Singapore, particularly during early morning hours when visibility and traffic conditions can be unpredictable. - May 11, 2026
