  • Two men, Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, were killed in a terror attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall, Manchester.
  • The attack occurred on Yom Kippur, Judaism’s holiest day, when Jihad Al-Shamie drove into a group of people before stabbing a man.
  • Al-Shamie, 35, a British citizen not previously known to security services, was shot dead by police seven minutes after the incident.
  • Three other individuals remain in hospital with serious injuries, and three people have been arrested on suspicion of planning a terror attack.
  • Greater Manchester Police have increased their visible presence in Jewish communities across North Manchester, Bury, and Salford to provide reassurance.
