Two men with 65 criminal records between them arrested over 12 house-breaking cases

PORT DICKSON, Sept 8 — Police arrested two men in a raid in Teluk Kemang on Sept 3 to assist in investigations into 12 house-breaking cases in Negeri Sembilan, Perak and Kedah. 

Port Dickson police chief Supt Ahmad Afiq Mohd Adnan said both suspects, aged 24 and 34, were picked up around 4 pm by the district Criminal Investigation Division. 

He said background checks revealed that the first suspect has 54 prior criminal records and is wanted in two outstanding cases, while the second suspect has 11 prior criminal records.

“Investigations revealed that both are suspected of being involved in four house-breaking cases in Negeri Sembilan, three in Kedah and five in Perak,” he said in a statement yesterday. 

He said police also seized several items including bags, identification cards, foreign currency, fishing rods, a laptop, mobile phones and a vehicle. Also confiscated were approximately 6.8 grammes of drugs. 

Ahmad Afiq said both suspects have been remanded until Sept 9 to facilitate investigations under Section 457 of the Penal Code. — Bernama
