TWO motorcyclists suffered minor injuries after a Porsche Macan crashed into their motorcycles and another vehicle in an accident along Jalan Mount Erskine here on Thursday.

Northeast District Deputy Police Chief Superintendent Lee Swee Sake said the incident occurred at about 8.10 am when the Porsche, driven by a 32-year-old local man, veered into the opposite lane and collided with a Toyota Avanza.

“The impact caused the Toyota Avanza, driven by a 48-year-old man, and two other motorcycles to be involved in the accident,” he said in a statement on Friday.

Initial investigations revealed that the SUV driver had swerved to avoid another motorcycle entering his lane, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and crash into oncoming traffic.

“The two motorcyclists, aged 33 and 48, sustained minor injuries, while both car drivers escaped unhurt,” he added.

Lee said checks on the driver’s mobile phone showed no evidence of use at the time of the incident.

“Breath and urine tests also confirmed that the driver was free from alcohol and drugs,” he said.

Earlier, a one-minute dashcam video of the crash went viral on social media, showing the moment the Porsche lost control and rammed into waiting vehicles at a traffic light in the area. - November 7, 2025
