Two motorcyclists killed in early morning collision on Linkedua Highway

TWO men were killed while two others were hospitalised following a fatal collision involving four motorcycles on the southbound side of the Linkedua Highway early Tuesday.

The accident occurred at approximately 6.30am at Kilometre 1.7 of the expressway, when the group of motorcyclists—believed to be heading towards Singapore—collided with one another in the right-hand lane.

Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief, ACP M. Kumarasan, confirmed in a statement that the deceased victims, both Malaysian men aged 30 and 31, sustained severe head injuries and a fractured right arm.

"Preliminary investigations found that all four riders were travelling in the same direction and lane when they collided with each other," he said.

"As a result of the crash, all four lost control of their vehicles and skidded on the same lane. Two of them died at the scene, while the other two are currently receiving treatment in hospital."

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which deals with causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.

ACP Kumarasan has urged any members of the public with information regarding the incident to contact the district traffic investigation and enforcement division at 07-5101322. - September 24, 2025
