SEMPORNA: Two buildings at a resort here were completely destroyed by fire, last Wednesday.
Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief Abdul Kadir Jalangan said the buildings included a pump house and lodging house.
He said he received an emergency call on the incident at the Sea Star Resort at 7.05pm via MERS999.
“A team of eight officers and members and two boats were deployed to the site. They also received assistance from Semporna BBP during the operation,” he said.
Abdul Kadir said the extinguishing operation was carried out using the transport pump and water from the sea.
The operation was completed at 9.30am.
The cause of the fire and amount of losses were still being investigated.
