
TAMBUNAN: Two sisters were injured when their vehicle plunged into a 20m ravine near here, last Wednesday.
Tambunan BBP Station Chief, PPgB Desmond Ak Micky @ Dominic said the incident happened on Jalan Tambunan-Ranau at 7pm.
“A distressed call was received through the Station Line and a group of nine members led by Operations Commander, PBK II David Wong rushed to the location.
“Arriving at the scene 25km from the station, we found that there had been an accident involving a Toyota Vigo type vehicle that skidded and fell into a 60ft deep gorge.
“The two female victims, aged 37 and 43, suffered minor injuries and were given initial treatment by the EMRS team and sent to Tambunan Hospital for further treatment,” he said.
According to Desmond, after making sure there was no more danger, the operation ended at 9.58pm.
