Two sites for Kunak Ramadan bazaars

KUNAK: The Kunak District Council (MDKNK) has designated two locations for this year’s Ramadan Bazaar.

The sites are the open area next to General Market and Sedco area near Servay Supermarket.

The first site was chosen based on several identified factors, including efforts to reduce traffic congestion.

Read more The selection of this new bazaar site is expected to help alleviate traffic congestion, as the existing parking area next to the General Market will be allocated for visitors and traders to park their vehicles.

Nazri said the new location is seen as more strategic and organised, as it had been fenced and equipped with essential facilities such as a prayer room (mini surau), dedicated toilets for traders and visitors, and sufficient lighting.

Meanwhile, application forms for trading activities at the Ramadan Bazaar were distributed on Feb 20 to those interested in doing businesses throughout the holy month.
