
HELP University commits to full cooperation as investigation continues into Bukit Damansara incident.
PETALING JAYA: Two students remain under hospital care following the tragic incident at HELP University’s Bukit Damansara campus, with the institution pledging full cooperation in investigations ordered by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In a statement, today, the private university confirmed it is working alongside authorities, property owners, and facility managers to determine what occurred and conduct comprehensive safety reviews across campus operations.
The incident impacted ten individuals total, with four being HELP University students. Current medical status shows two students continue receiving hospital treatment, while two others have recovered sufficiently for discharge. Six additional affected persons have also left hospital care.
HELP University administration maintains ongoing communication with all impacted students, staff members, and their respective families, committing to sustained support services throughout recovery periods.
“We remain in close and regular contact with the affected students, staff and their families, and we will continue to extend all necessary support to them during their recovery,” the statement confirmed.
The university’s response aligns with the Prime Minister’s directive for rapid yet thorough investigative procedures. HELP University indicated it is actively coordinating with multiple stakeholders to piece together factual circumstances surrounding the incident.
