LAHAD DATU: Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with a riot in front of a school here last week.
District police chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said in a statement on Thursday that the suspects were picked up on Sept 30.
He said the case stemmed from an incident on Sept 27 where a 16-year-old boy was attacked by a group, leaving him with injuries to his face and head.
The teenager was treated at the outpatient department of a local hospital following the assault.
Dzulbaharin said both suspects remain in custody while police continue efforts to track down others still at large, with investigations underway under Section 147 of the Penal Code.
