Most Gen Z’s or even some of the millennials will remember that Boys Like Girls is one of the most famous bands during our time in high school and playing their songs nowadays definitely brings back waves of nostalgia.

As many would know, the band is still around and they came for a mini-concert here in Malaysia back in 2022.

Their latest album did not garner as much attention as they used to so it seems that they are switching up gears by collaborating with one of the biggest girl groups in the K-pop industry in the last couple of years, TWICE.

In an Instagram reel on the Boys Like Girls account, we see their frontman, Martin Johnson, in a recording booth singing an English verse for the K-pop group’s song, I CAN’T STOP ME, which was released in 2020 and a fan-favourite.

The caption on the Instagram Reel says:

“it’s real: I CAN’T STOP ME by @twicetagram featuring BOYS LIKE GIRLS is out now. loved getting to put our spin on this one.”

Many fans couldn’t believe what they were watching and hearing as the two groups are polar opposites of each other.
