In a heart-wrenching incident, a two-year-old girl tragically lost her life after being left unattended in a vehicle for eight hours in Ara Damansara. The devastating event occurred when her mother mistakenly believed that she had already been dropped off at her kindergarten.

The Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhruddin Abdul Hamid, confirmed that they received information about the incident at 3:40 PM, reporting that the child was unresponsive at her home in Ara Damansara.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the mother, in her 30s, had dropped off her two children at a nearby school at 7 AM and was supposed to take the toddler to a nearby kindergarten.

Tragically, while en route to the kindergarten, the mother briefly stopped to attend to her online business, unintentionally leaving the child in the vehicle.

The child's father promptly called Mers 999 and administered preliminary first aid to his child until the arrival of the ambulance and the police.

The young girl was swiftly transported to Sungai Buloh Hospital for further medical attention, but tragically, she was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination was conducted today, and the case is now under investigation, as per Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001.
