KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Governor Tun Musa Aman on Wednesday urged reflection and renewal at the start of the New Year, calling on Sabahans to look back on the year gone while setting practical goals for a more meaningful year ahead.

In his New Year message, he encouraged the State Government to press on with sustained and inclusive socio-economic development, with continued focus on strengthening infrastructure, resolving long-standing issues and improving the welfare and quality of life of the people.

Musa said Sabah must also remain attractive to quality investments, with stronger emphasis on manufacturing, tourism and agriculture to create jobs, reinforce the economy and secure long-term prosperity.

He stressed that unity remains Sabah’s greatest strength, urging the fortunate to help the vulnerable while expressing appreciation for security personnel who continue to serve and safeguard the State and nation despite personal sacrifices.

Musa expressed hope that the New Year would bring progress, peace and harmony to Malaysia and Sabah, saying collective effort and unity of purpose would be key to moving forward together.
