
Kota Kinabalu: Head of State Tun Musa Aman directed the relevant authorities to carry out a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding Zara Qairina Mahathir’s death.
The investigation is currently on-going pending the results of the post mortem.
In the statement issued by Istana Seri Kinabalu, Monday, Musa said the investigation must be conducted with complete diligence, guided solely by the pursuit of truth and justice, with no external interference affecting the ongoing inquiry.

A special prayer session, Majlis Tahlil dan Doa Peringkat Negeri, will be held on Aug 14 at Masjid Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu and mosques throughout Sabah.
Muslims are encouraged to join the event and those of non-Muslim faith across the State are encouraged to offer prayers for Zara in their own respective way.
The Head of State reaffirmed that the safety and well-being of children remains the State’s highest priority, calling for divine protection over all children to prevent similar tragedies.
