Kota Kinabalu: In line with the Government’s call to narrow the digital divide, mobile network operator U Mobile Sdn Bhd (U Mobile) is set to aggressively expand its network in Sabah next year and provide better connectivity for Sabahans in both urban and rural areas.
Its Chief Technology Officer Woon Ooi Yuen said U Mobile has 800 sites in Sabah at present, encompassing a population coverage of 88.4 per cent.
“We are going to expand with another 600 sites and with this we will reach more than 90 per cent population coverage in Sabah alone, in both urban and rural areas.
