Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he'll buy for the sake of the club - not his own job prospects.
Gary Neville said on Monday Night Football Solskjaer 'is going to have to be selfish' in the January transfer window and 'has to go and spend the club's money for himself, on two or three experienced players' amid a lack of leadership in the squad.
But Solskjaer insists: "I make every decision that I think is the best for Manchester United."
Solskjaer will play a youthful team at Europa League opponents Astana tonight.
"For me, this is a game for Manchester United we're looking forward to, you're gonna see debuts from some of the young players.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for me to see them perform, with Lee [Grant], the most professional athlete you can see. And to have Sergio [Romero] and David [de Gea[ ahead of him, for example, and knowing he has two of the best goalkeepers in the world to challenge against, and give him his first start is fantastic.
"So for me, I'm looking forward to it, it's a chance to see these together."
