Serie A new-boys Lecce are competing with Premier League clubs for Emmanuel Adebayor.
Currently a free agent, Adebayor has been linked with a return to the Premier League this summer.
However, Lecce are hoping to tempt the veteran to Italy as a big name addition.
West Ham, Sheffield United and Watford are also looking at the striker.
He has not played in England since 2016, when he joined Istanbul Basaksehir after a six-month spell at Crystal Palace.
