A new drone attack struck the UAE’s Fujairah oil terminal, causing a fire but no casualties, following a similar incident that disrupted operations.
FUJAIRAH: A new drone strike hit the Fujairah oil complex on the United Arab Emirates’ east coast on Tuesday, causing a fire but no injuries.
Local authorities confirmed the attack in a statement on X.
“Civil defence teams from the emirate intervened immediately on site and are continuing their efforts to bring the situation under control,” the authorities said.
The strategic facility, which enables the UAE to bypass the Strait of Hormuz for some exports, was also targeted on Monday.
A source told AFP that Monday’s strike had forced the suspension of oil loading into storage tanks at the terminal.
