Cordova, 22, has scored three goals in 11 games for America.
Benfica are watching the youngster closely this season.
However, they face competition from across Europe for Cordova.
Mexican media sources state Manchester United and Sevilla are also targeting the 22-year-old, who was first scouted this year at the Toulon Tournament.
