KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 — UK-based unconventional couple Iris Jones, 82 and Mohamed Ahmed Ibriham, 36, are living proof that age is just a number when it comes to love.

The flames of their unique love are very much alive as they celebrate another Valentine’s Day together after tying the knot three years ago.

Egyptian-born Mohamed surprised his wife with a new sofa for the special day and shared how he selected the gift in a video on their YouTube channel.

The one-minute 24-second clip showed him testing out the floral two-seater and armchair as he declared it comfy and chic.

“I think it’s a good gift for Iris,” he said.

“It comes with cushions, fantastic.”

The couple first met on Facebook in 2019 and from the moment they made their relationship public, they’ve had to fight accusations that Mohamed is with Iris for money or a passport.

It’s a continuous battle for Iris, a retired cleaner and Mohamed, a welder inspector, who hit back at haters and divorce rumours whenever they can.

“We will never separate, love keeps us together,” said Iris in another video uploaded nine days ago.

“Mohamed’s a qualified welder and he’s welded my heart to his.”

Her husband, seen next to her and kissing her said, “To all the nosy people out there, keep your nose on your lives. Please, ok?”

Subscribers gushed over the latest video.

“Aww what a lovely thing to do for Iris. Hope you have a gorgeous Valentine’s Day together,” said one subscriber.

“That’s very thoughtful and sweet of you, Mohamed. I think she will love her Valentine’s present,” said another.

“We need to see her reaction!!” said a third.

Mohamed and Iris first made headlines when Iris went on national TV in 2020 and shared juicy details of their passionate first night with Iris declaring it as “pretty rough.”
