- Parts of the UK, particularly London and the south-west of England, are expected to experience unseasonably warm weather on Tuesday.
- Met Office spokesman Stephen Dixon said that highs of 27C are expected in London, with the late September warmth being driven by an Atlantic low-pressure system pulling warmer air across from continental Europe.
- Overnight temperatures on Tuesday into Wednesday will remain mild, with lows of around 19C expected in southern and eastern areas.
- Mr Dixon said multiple areas across the UK will experience rain on Wednesday, adding that it’s going to be a “fairly wet and blustery day for many”.
- A mix of “sunshine and showers” will follow on Thursday and Friday before higher pressure brings more settled weather over the weekend.
