UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper visits Saudi Arabia to discuss oil security and regional stability following attacks in the Strait of Hormuz.

LONDON: UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday for the first ministerial visit to the region since the start of the Middle East war.

Cooper described Saudi Arabia as an essential partner for the UK in the Gulf, who have been targeted by reckless attacks by the Iranian regime.

She was expected to discuss cooperation with regional partners to ensure continuity of oil supply in the face of strikes in the Strait of Hormuz, according to a Foreign Office statement.
