Prior to flying home to Malaysia last weekend, my SLI colleague Mr. Yazdi Bankwala who was in London for the past 5-week visiting his father, son and relatives when meeting with WISE Chairman, Senator Syed Shahir, UniKL PhD student Ana Mozhdeh from Iran & I, debriefed that the MET forecasted ‘multi-hazard event’ in various different parts of the UK. He said, “It's quite a complex weather set-up for the weeks ahead. When my son is going to leave the house for work in the city, he has to pay attention to what's going on in our area.” (https://www.bbc.com)
Yazdi added, “From my experience, it is very challenging with temperature across the UK will hover between -2 and 2C throughout the day, and not expected to reach higher than 6C. Storm Bert will follow a cold snap that caused schools to close in parts of the UK. Persistent downpours will lead to areas of water flooding, so it's important for when driving to keep speeds down as the risk of losing control. I keep on cautioning my young dashing son to always stay safe by checking regularly with the local authorities in London."
On the warm and brighter side of his stories, Yazdi had presented the book titled 'Unleashed' a memoir written by Excellency Boris Johnson, who was Prime Minister of United Kingdom from 2019 to 2022. In Unleashed, the former Prime Minister Boris Johnson had narrated the rise and fall of his political career, mixing gossip and Classical references. It is incomparably more readable than a standard political memoir. Unleashed means Brexit: according to Yazdi, the media, The Telegraph UK in its review commented, "We are unleashed and we will never be lashed again.
