- Britain's government terror watchdog, Jonathan Hall KC, has warned that antisemitism is the "biggest national security emergency" since the 2017 Manchester arena attack.
- This warning follows an incident in Golders Green where two Jewish men, Nachman Moshe ben Chaya Sarah and Moshe Ben Baila, were stabbed and hospitalised on Wednesday.
- A 45-year-old British national of Somali origin, with a history of violence and mental health issues, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the stabbings.
- The incident prompted an emergency Cobra meeting called by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
- The stabbings occurred amidst a series of recent arson attacks targeting Jewish sites in north London, contributing to fears among the Jewish community.
