
- A zoo in which a three-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after ending up in a crocodile enclosure has spoken out following the incident.
- The boy was transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridgeshire, where he is reported to be in a critical but stable condition, after the incident at Johnsons of Old Hurst, near Huntingdon.
- A 30-year-old man from Norfolk has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident.
- In a statement on social media, Johnson’s said the Tropical House will remain closed until further notice, but the rest of the site will open as normal.
- The statement said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the boy and his family following the incident that occurred today. Out of respect to the family, our Tropical House will remain closed until further notice.”
