The Russian government is exploring ways to support the country's biggest online retailer after repeated Ukrainian drone attacks, according to reports.
Sources told Reuters the support for Wildberries could come in the form of loans from state-owned banks to the company or its sellers, as well as tax breaks or subsidies.
Ukraine earlier admitted to attacking “Russia’s Amazon” because of its alleged role in supplying logistics to Russia’s frontline troops. Drones damaged at least seven Wildberries warehouses, destroying around 10 per cent of the company's storage capacity, disrupting operations and inflicting losses on tens of thousands of small businesses that sell goods and services on the platform.
Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelensky has said he had a “good meeting” with Donald Trump at the Oval Office after the two discussed licenses for Patriot interceptor production.
The Ukrainian president was expected to use his Washington visit on Tuesday to press Trump for urgently needed air defence capabilities.It follows a promise from the US president last month to grant Ukraine a license to manufacture Patriot air defence systems, which would mark a major breakthrough for Kyiv.

During his meeting at the Capitol, the Ukrainian leader argued that they have a window to bring Russian president Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table, according to one of the people with direct knowledge of the meeting.
The meeting was held just before a key vote on the Russia sanctions bill and after Lindsey Graham's funeral.
In a bipartisan 86-12 vote, the Senate took the first steps toward passage of legislation to penalise countries that continue to buy Russian oil, gas and other exports after more than a year of negotiations.
The bill has dozens of backers from both major political parties and is seen as the main policy tribute to Graham, who died unexpectedly this month from a tear in his aorta. It imposes tariffs on goods from the world’s top five purchasers of Russia oil or natural gas, including China and India.
The legislation also includes sanctions against Putin; senior Russian political and military leaders; and Russian financial institutions and energy projects.
Ukraine highlights ties between Iran and Russia

“And if they have, it has been very un-impactful.
”On the Caspian Sea attack, the foreign ministers of Iran and Ukraine spoke about the matter, according to statements posted on social media Tuesday.
Ukrainian foreign minister Andrii Sybiha called the conversation “frank” and said Ukraine’s focus is “solely at defending our country from Russian aggression" and not on targeting civilians.
Iran has said at least one sailor was killed in the attack. For his part, Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran is also not seeking escalation but “made clear any attack on our citizens or interests is unacceptable."

The attack damaged a warehouse, a private home, a petrol station and around 40 garages, according to Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov.
It also sparked two fires that engulfed a metal hangar and a warehouse building across a combined area of 500 square metres before emergency crews brought the blaze under control.
Two suspects arrested over alleged attack on Ukrainian couple in Poland

The attack took place on Sunday when a 20-year-old Ukrainian woman and her 21-year-old partner were allegedly beaten by three men in what police believe was a nationality-motivated assault.
Polish interior minister Marcin Kierwiński said both detained suspects had previous criminal records, with one apprehended by counterterrorism officers while attempting to leave the city.
"Brutal violence will never go unpunished," Kierwinski wrote on X.
Ukraine's foreign minister Andrii Sybiha welcomed their "swift, decisive, and immediate response" in a social media post following the arrest.
He also urged Polish politicians to avoid rhetoric that fuels hostility towards Ukrainians, warning that such language can contribute to violence.
The incident comes amid a reported rise in hate crimes against Ukrainians in Poland. According to Polish daily Rzeczpospolita, police received 180 reports of hate crimes targeting Ukrainians in the first half of 2026, more than 30 per cent higher than during the same period last year.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Monday, Trump was asked about allegations raised by Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, who said Russia had provided Iran with satellite imagery of US and Gulf military installations during the recent conflict.
Zelensky said Kyiv had observed a "clear correlation between Russia's satellite imagery of these sites and Iranian strikes."
"We'll find out if that's true," Trump said. "I'll ask Putin about it. We'll find out."
Trump downplayed the potential impact of any such assistance, arguing that it had not changed the outcome of the conflict.
"It hasn't had much impact because we've knocked the hell out of (Iran)," Trump said. "Look, you know, (Russia) gave Venezuela a lot of equipment. Venezuela had all Russian equipment. How did that work out? Not too good."
He also said he was sceptical that Russia had provided meaningful support to Iran.
"I don't think they've been doing it. Certainly not at a high level, and if they have, it has been very unimpactful," Trump said.
Zelensky’s allegation came as Ukraine attacked an Iranian tanker in the Caspian Sea that Ukraine’s ambassador to Israel, Yevgen Korniychuk, said was carrying drones and military components from Iran to Russia. Iran condemned the strike and vowed to retaliate.

The Sviatoshynskyi District Court on Monday granted prosecutors' request to detain Vasyl Honcharuk, who organised the 24 July event at a privately operated venue in the Kyiv region, according to Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne.
Honcharuk, the head of the Armada weapons industry association, is suspected of official negligence that led to loss of life after the Russian ballistic missile strike on a shooting range outside Kyiv.
He appeared in court limping and told the judge he had suffered minor injuries in the missile strike.
Prosecutors allege that the organisers invited more than 300 people, including military personnel, government officials and business representatives, to the event without the necessary official authorisation and provided only limited shelter for attendees.
Reporters at the scene described widespread destruction, with homes reduced to rubble and victims lying in body bags following the attack.
Pentagon plans to stretch remaining Ukraine aid until 2029, report says

According to Reuters, the Pentagon outlined its spending schedule in a letter sent to Congress in May. While the funds are expected to be placed under contract by the end of fiscal year 2026, final deliveries are not projected until the fiscal year ending 30 September 2029, after the end of Trump's second term in office.
