Ukraine shares video of Russian drone ‘hunting down’ market vendor

Ukraine’s National Police has shared a video of a Russian drone appearing to “hunt down” and wound a market vendor in Kherson.

Footage released on Tuesday (4 August) shows the drone hovering in front of the 52-year-old man, who quickly proceeded to take cover behind a minibus.

The drone then dives in and detonates near the vehicle, resulting in an explosion right next to the vendor. Ukrainian officials said the man survived but sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds and a concussion.

Volodymyr Zelensky said that the footage is evidence of Putin’s “drone safari” against civilians.

“The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians.”
