Italian coaching guru Renzo Ulivieri has paid tribute to Silvio Berlusconi.
The former AC Milan and Monza president passed away today at the age of 86.
Ulivieri released a statement this afternoon: "The death of Silvio Berlusconi interrupts the parable of one of the most complex and decisive figures in the life of our country over the last 40 years.
"There has been a before, a during and now an after Berlusconi. The judgment on his political work, on the reasons for his descent into the field, we leave it to the history and sensitivity of each one.
"Undoubtedly his entry into football, from the first legendary Milan, entrusted to technicians such as Sacchi, Capello, Ancelotti, up to the management of Monza brought to Serie A for the first time, changed the course of events, not only of those clubs.
"Just as the strength of its Mediaset empire has helped to redesign the football-related television industry at European level. Now is the time for respect in the face of mourning."
